Country Hall Of Famers ‘Alabama’ To Play The South Dakota State Fair
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota State Fair has announced that country music group Alabama will be part of its Grandstand Line-Up.
The group will perform Aug. 29. Tickets go on sale to the general public June 16 and cost $40 and $45.
The band's popularity took off in the 1980s. The state fair performance is part of Alabama's All American Tour 2014.
Their top songs include, "Tennessee River" and "Song of the South." Alabama has won numerous awards, including two Grammys. The band is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The South Dakota state fair runs from Aug. 28 through Sept. 1.
