Vikings fans are exited about having one of their players poised to set an all time NFL record. With two games left, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is 294 yards shy of breaking the NFL's single-season rushing record set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.

This is definitely an achievable mark for Peterson. He was over 200 on Sunday alone.

Peterson rushed for a season-high 212 yards and a touchdown as the Minnesota Vikings topped the St. Louis Rams 36-22.

Peterson has 1,812 yards rushing on the season, beating his previous best of 1,760 yards in 2007. Peterson played in only 12 games last season after suffering a serious knee injury.

It will be fun to watch the next two games as he closes in on the record. I'm thinking the defense will be focused heavily on him.

Let's see if he can bust thru them! I hope you Vikings fans get the new record!
