9 Bands to Be Inducted into South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Rock and Roll Music Association will induct nine bands into its Hall of Fame this April.

The list includes: the Postmen, Tripp; the Tensions, Tyndall; White Wing, Rapid City; Military Pickle, Brookings; the Handy Brothers Chessman Show, Sioux Falls; the Spectacle Rhythm and Blues Soul Revue, northwest Iowa; the American Music Band, Watertown; Ivory, the Black Hills; and Crow, Minneapolis.

The groups will be honored during a two-day celebration at the Ramkota Inn Exhibit Hall in Sioux Falls on April 15 and 16. A Friday night concert will feature the Pilgrims and a jam session featuring several Hall of Fame inductees.

The association also recognizes DJs, ballrooms and dance halls, music stores, booking agents, promoters and radio stations.
