Thursday night (11/21) was opening night for Disney on Ice: Worlds of Enchantment at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

UPDATE: The Sanford PREMIER Center has just released some lower bowl tickets for the upcoming performances. It's a great ticket. Get them here.

It was probably the one I enjoyed the most out of the last 3 years because a lot of the music was geared toward parents. 'Life is a Highway', 'Play That Funky Music', 'The "Toys" Are back in Town', " Dream Weaver', and 'Freak Out' were well placed and played a perfect role in the stories.

The performance begins with Toy Story and you'll find your self cheering for Woody as he tries to save the other toys from Lotzo and the Sunnyside Day Care. The green army men were my favorite.

Ariel and the Little Mermaid are next with a brilliant under-the-sea adventure and superb skating.

After a brief intermission that left parents scrambling for more cash at the souvenir stands, the second half opens with Cars. And this was the highlight of the evening for me. Amazing full-size cars made you feel like your in the film. Mater was hilarious and Lightning McQueen races his friends - on the ice.

The final performance is a mainstay for any Disney on Ice production. Sisters Anna and Elsa play out an abbreviated plot to the hit movie Frozen. The choreography was moving and the skating was entertaining. Of course, 'Let It Go' had many young fans singing along.

Here are some pics from the night. If you'd like to go it's an affordable family ticket starting at only $17. Here's your link to tickets. But pack a little extra cash. All princesses want a souvenir to remember the night.
