‘Wolf Moon’ Will Howl Across the Sky Tonight

The first full moon of 2017 will light up the sky and it has a great nick name: "Wolf Moon".

Tonight's moon will also be one of 3 super moons of 2017, but it depends on who you ask. Some experts can't seem to agree on if there will only be one super moon this year or as many as three.

The first full moon of every January earns the nickname "Wolf Moon".

According to AL.com Native Americans originally gave every full moon of the year a nickname, here a a few comming to a sky near you soon:

January 12th: Wolf Moon

February 10th: Snow Moon

March 12th: Worm Moon

April 11th: Pink Moon

May 10th: Flower Moon
