Willie Nelson Getting Music Doctorate

More and more people are finally realizing what you and I have know for over a half century.

Our Willie Nelson is on of music's greatest talents. Ever!

According to the Associated Press, Willie will be among those receiving honorary Doctorates in Music. The Country Music legend has written such country standard's as 'Crazy', 'Hello Walls', 'Night Life' and on and on.

In the 1970's Willie, along with others, led the so-called 'Outlaw Movement' in Country Music bringing millions of new fans to Country Music.

Willie soon turns 80 years old and still tours around the country in his famous bus (he'll be making a stop in Mitchell at the Corn Palace soon!).

God Bless our Willie. I wonder how many people from tiny Abbott, Texas have a Doctorate in Music? Well, we know one!

(AP) - Carole King, Willie Nelson and Annie Lennox will get special honors during commencement at Berklee College of Music. They will receive honorary doctorates in music.

Lennox will give the commencement address. Students will follow tradition by paying tribute to the honoree by performing music associated with their careers the night before commencement.
