Everyone has that one country that they would love to visit. My number one location is New Zealand. I did a report on it in high school and I have been fascinated with it ever since.

Recently, Facebook released data to the New York Times about some of the most frequent destinations people “check-in” at while on vacation. Using data collected since 2012, the stats show that the number one country South Dakotans travel to the most is the country of Liberia.

Yes, you read that right, Liberia! It was the most unusually popular “check-in” destination for North Dakotans as well. Rounding out the top 5 are:

2.) Thailand
3.) Norway
4.) Germany
5.) Canada
