Kelsea Ballerini shared two classic tunes during the 2016 CMA Country Christmas TV special on Monday night (Nov. 28): The rising star performed both "The Christmas Song" and "My Favorite Things."

While introducing Ballerini's "The Christmas Song" performance, CMA Country Christmas host Jennifer Nettles noted that the song turns 71 years old in 2016 (it really has "been said many times, many ways"!), and Ballerini offered a timeless take. Wearing a lacy red dress, the singer performed the holiday favorite with light strings and a piano backing her up. Readers can press play on the video above to watch the performance.

Later in the evening, Ballerini returned to the stage, this time with 13-year-old piano prodigy Joey Alexander, to perform "My Favorite Things." The pair recently released their rendition of the The Sound of Music classic as a single, adding a jazzy flair to the well-known tune. During CMA Country Christmas, Ballerini stepped back mid-song as Alexander, an upright bass player and a drummer improvised; readers can press play below to watch.

Ballerini and Alexander's version of "My Favorite Things" is available on iTunes. Ballerini is currently out on the road on her first headlining tour, aptly named The First Time Tour.
