Once again in 2018, the stars are aligning for another CMA Country Christmas TV special, hosted by none other than the legendary Reba McEntire, back for a second time in the festive role. Read on for everything country music fans need to know about the upcoming holiday event.
When and Where Is CMA Country Christmas 2018 Taking Place?
The 2018 CMA Country Christmas TV special was recorded on Sept. 27, at Belmont University's Curb Event Center. The show will air on Dec. 10 at 8PM ET on ABC.
Who Is Hosting CMA Country Christmas 2018?
In late August, the Country Music Association announced that McEntire would host CMA Country Christmas 2018. It's her second consecutive turn in the festive role.
“I’ve always cherished celebrating Christmas alongside family and friends, taking time to reflect on the season,” the star shares in a press release. “I’m so excited CMA invited me back to host their show and am looking forward to some fun singing carols with my friends.”
McEntire assumed hosting duties from Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles in 2017. Nettles had performed the role for the previous seven years, since CMA Country Christmas began.
Who Will Be Performing at CMA Country Christmas 2018?
McEntire was joined at CMA Country Christmas 2018 by stars including Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Dustin Lynch, Martina McBride, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley, Michael W. Smith, Lindsey Stirling, the Isaacs and Brett Young. The featured artists will share time-honored Christmas classics as well as original holiday tunes during the two-hour television program.
