SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls residents who are circulating petitions to force a vote on whether Walmart can build a store in their neighborhood say the city is harassing them and hindering their efforts.

Members of Save Our Neighborhood tell the Argus Leader (http://argusne.ws/17S4hHY) that police forced them to move from outside the publicly owned Sioux Falls Stadium during a minor league baseball game Thursday night.

Police say they received complaints from managers of the Sioux Falls Canaries baseball team about petition gatherers bothering fans in the parking lot.

A police spokesman says for future games an area outside the stadium will be designated for the group to get signatures without blocking traffic or impeding fans.

Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether says officials have "better things to focus on in city government."
