After a brush with death four years ago gave him a new outlook on life, country star and colon cancer survivor Wade Hayes is doing everything he can to give back to those facing cancer and fight the disease.

Hayes is set to host the exclusive "Country Hits Back" concert to provide support for the life-changing research done at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville.

Joining Wade on the stage will be a concert lineup that includes Miranda Lambert, Steve Wariner and Kix Brooks. The benefit show will take place on March 2 at the historic Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee, which is located just outside of Nashville.

Hayes shares, "I give the glory to God and credit to Dr. (Jordan) Berlin and the staff at Vanderbilt for being alive today. I am absolutely thrilled that Miranda, Kix and Steve are taking time out of their busy schedules to join us, and we're looking forward to a great night of music for a cause that will always be near and dear to my heart."

In December of 2011, at age 42, Wade was diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer. Successful surgery and chemotherapy removed the cancer, but one year later, he was devastated to find out the cancer had returned. Hayes then received additional treatments, and today he has no evidence of the disease.
