VERMILLION - The Vermillion Police Department has been awarded more than $1,800 for a camera and five pairs of binoculars to be used in drug investigations.

Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that the money was awarded from the Drug Control Fund, which was created to assist law enforcement in helping to protect communities.

Vermillion Chief of Police Matt Betzen says the equipment will improve the department's ability to conduct surveillance and collect evidence.
