A Sioux Falls family and South Dakota officials are asking for the public's help in finding a missing infant boy.

Chosen Butler from South Dakota has been missing since Thursday, February 27th. He's only 7 months old. His family and friends have been pleading with the community on Facebook to help search for Chosen.

South Dakota Missing Persons website has up-to-date information on Chosen's disappearance. Chosen weighs about 17 pounds with his blue eyes and brown hair. Social media posts on Facebook from concerned friends say Chosen was last seen in Sioux Falls with a woman named Betty Cross.

CHOSEN was last with BETTY CROSS, 38, of Sioux Falls. BETTY is described as an African American female, 5'1" tall, 160 lbs, brown eyes, black hair.

BETTY was remanded to turn CHOSEN over to the Department of Social Services but instead took him and disappeared. BETTY is also listed in the Attorney General Missing Persons Clearinghouse.

Betty Cross is also listed as missing on the South Dakota Missing Persons website.

There is some good news. Public Information Officer with the City of Sioux Falls, Sam Clemens tells our news partners at Dakota News Now that the department "believes Chosen is not in any danger." Read more details from Tuesday morning's briefing here.

He's so little. It's hard for me to imagine someone taking an innocent baby. Who would think to commit such a horrible crime?

Unfortunately, there aren't many details about what led to Chosen's disappearance or what he was last seen wearing. Any resident with leads or information about Chosen’s whereabouts is highly encouraged to contact the Sioux Falls Police Department at 605-367-7000.
