Two South Dakota Basketball Players Reach New Point Milestones on Saturday

There's a new member of the 2,000-point club and also the 1,000-point club as two players in South Dakota reached new milestones for their career.

Yankton's Matthew Mors and Flandreau's Dylan LeBrun have reason to celebrate following Saturday night. Mors has now scored 1,000 points in his high school career, while LeBrun hit the 2,000-point mark.

Mors is only a freshman this season and has been on the varsity roster in Yankton since his 7th grade year. He could potentially give White River's Louie Krogman a run for the most points scored in South Dakota high school basketball history.

That's not all either for Mors. The 6'7 forward not only hit the 1,000 point mark on Saturday night, but he broke Yankton's record for most three-pointers in school history.

Flandreau's LeBrun reached the 2,000-point mark for his career against De Smet on Saturday night. He led Flandreau with 35 points in a 61-44 victory.

LeBrun is in his senior season and will play for Tom Billeter at Augustana University following graduation. His 2,000th point was picked up on a three-point shot.

Flandreau will enter the region round in Class A with a 15-5 record. Yankton and Mors currently sit at 12-6 and in the 6th seed of Class AA with two games remaining on their regular season schedule.
