Minnesota Gophers Football Players Join Lawsuit Against NCAA

Minnesota Gophers tight end Moses Alipate and wide receiver Victor Keise have been named plaintiffs in the anti-trust lawsuit that is claiming the NCAA owes billions of dollars to former players for allowing their likenesses to be used without compensation.

Former UCLA basketball star Larry O'Bannon is the lead plaintiff, along with six current NCAA football players including Alipate and Keise.

In the case, the judge is still deciding whether to turn the lawsuit into a class action. If the move were to be made, it would be a legal victory for the players. Plaintiffs are demanding the NCAA finds a way to give players a cut of the billions or dollars earned from live broadcasts, memorabilia, and video games.

Earlier this week, the NCAA announced they would be breaking times with EA, and that EA could no longer use the NCAA's name and logo in video games.
