The Highwaymen Live with The KXRB Crew!

What an amazing Friday night for the KXRB crew over the weekend! For weeks, KXRB was giving away tickets to see "The Highwaymen Live" tribute band.  This show was worth the wait!

The Highwaymen show features Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson.  As you can tell from the picture, it looks like you're seeing double!  Before they went on stage, KXRB had the privilege to bring lucky fans backstage to meet the group!

It was such a treat to meet some of our KXRB listeners!  I was so touched by all the kind words you had to say.  After our little chats, I felt like I was part of a big family.  Starting a new role is never easy, and it's awesome to know there is a huge support system cheering me on!  Plus, it always helps when you laugh with me at my "close calls!"

Unlike the Sioux Empire Fair, we ad-libbed on stage.  Mark and Jake Tyler are pros when it comes to announcing artists on stage.  I still get a little nervous when I'm in front of a crowd, especially when someone tells me there isn't a script.  I was so close to writing bullet points on my phone until Jake Tyler told me to just have fun.  I forget to remind myself to relax sometimes, so I needed to hear that!

I stayed backstage for a bit to watch the show, and it was awesome! The band was so talented and sounded like the actual Highwaymen! They played all the classics, like "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," "Highwayman," and more! The audience was dancing in their seats!
