Food prices seem to be at an all-time high in the U.S. and the state of Iowa is no exception. And if you're living paycheck to paycheck, finding affordable, high-quality food in the Hawkeye State is becoming increasingly difficult.
If you're an Iowa shopper who's on a budget, the Cheapest Grocery Store in the entire U.S. has over 30 locations to choose from in the Hawkeye State.
U.S. News & World Report recently released its list of the Top 10 Cheapest Grocery Stores in the country, and while most of the stores on the list are nowhere near Iowa, number one can be found throughout the entire state.
Aldi was named the cheapest in the entire U.S. and based on what U.S. News had to say, it's easy to see why.
ALDI is a discount grocery store with German roots dating back to 1961. Over the past 50+ years, however, the company opened more than 2,000 stores across 39 U.S. states. It aims to offer a no-frills shopping experience with hand-selected, high-quality products and low prices.
"One of the cheapest grocery stores in the U.S. right now is ALDI, which has seen a steady increase in popularity in recent years.
