Chaos erupted during the early hours Tuesday morning at a Sioux Falls apartment complex, leaving one person dead and another injured. Details are still unfolding.

Officials during a news conference also said the suspected gunman is dead and that 17 people were injured.

Police say the father of the 2 year old had left his loaded handgun under a couch.

The mother and children were found inside of the vehicle unharmed.
