Remember, when many station owners went out with a piece of tape and put the number one up before the price per gallon? It was a stark indicator that things were about to get REAL with the price of gas.
Tuesday night, I paid $3.65. We had been hovering around $3.40 for a couple of weeks. As I was pumping, I texted a co-worker and said, $5.00 gas by the Fourth of July? He texted back, I'll take Memorial Day.
So there I am, munching some pretzels, sipping a perfectly chilled Grain Belt Longneck, sitting in my favorite chair, it's the end of a long day...ahh, relaxing, watching my Minnesota twins.
