Measles continues to spread in the United States, with more 704 cases reported so far this year spread among 22 states.

South Dakota health officials encourage parents to make sure their kids have had the recommended two doses of MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) vaccine.

Measles is one of the most infectious viruses in existence. It will infect 90 percent of susceptible people if they are exposed.
