College Basketball season is right around the corner, and with the preseason comes preseason polls, player recognition and more.

News broke on Tuesday morning that the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) will be losing a valued member.

USC and UCLA, two of the Pac-12's flagship programs, are planning to leave the conference for the Big Ten as early as 2024 and a move is considered imminent, sources confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.

Bob Bowlsby, who has led the Big 12 since 2012, and most recently steered it through the tumultuous announcement of the departures of Texas and Oklahoma, will "step away from the Commissioner's chair" later this year, the league announced on Tuesday.

Those with Iowa making a deep run in their bracket this March may have had a less than stellar response earlier this afternoon, as the 5th seeded Hawkeyes fell to 12-seed Richmond 67-63.
