Go ahead and grab that second cup of coffee - or third - or even fourth. According to a recent study the more coffee you drink the longer you may live.

During an observational study involving close to 20,000 individuals, people who consumed at least four cups of coffee a day had a 64% lower risk of early death.

The study was recently published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

And the reduction was found to be most significant once people reached the age of 45 regardless of whether they drank regular coffee or decaf.

According to the National Coffee Association coffee has also been shown to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, liver disease, colorectal cancer, Alzheimer's and skin cancer.
