We are two weeks away from the end of the regular season in high school football. The season has moved just as fast as some teams in the top five.

Class 11AAA

The top four teams in 11AAA remain the same this week, but it was just a few minutes away from being drastically changed. Roosevelt remains the top team after scoring 14 points in the 4th quarter to take a 35-28 win over Brandon Valley. Washington rolled over Watertown, while O'Gorman beat Rapid City Stevens. Stevens, with the tough loss, jumped up to the 5th spot after Aberdeen Central lost to Pierre.

Class 11AA

The Tigers continue to roll as signs are pointing towards a Harrisburg/Mitchell showdown. Mitchell continued to run all over teams as they beat Brookings 55-20. Harrisburg matched it against Douglas with a 56-21 victory. Yankton is back in 3rd after a close win over Huron. Pierre remains 5th ranked after beating Aberdeen Central.

Class 11A

11A remains a three team race between Madison, St. Thomas More, and Tea Area. We will find some separation this week as the Bulldogs and Titans play in Madison. Sioux Falls Christian remains in 4th with their lone loss being to Madison. The only change in 11A is for the 5th ranking as Milbank Area and Dell Rapids are now tied.

Class 11B

Winner had their toughest challenge of the season last week, and that isn't saying too much. The Warriors defeated Parkston 48-16 to remain undefeated and as the top team in 11B. Groton Area shutout Wagner 53-0. No changes in general this week in 11B as Tri-Valley, Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan, and Chamberlain round out the top five.

Class 9AA

On the nine man side, three teams are still receiving first place votes. Canistota remains the favorite with a 6-0 record and after 52-22 over Alcester-Hudson. Gregory rolled over Hill City 54-14 to keep their perfect season alive. Webster Area also remained undefeated after a 42-21 win over Hamlin. Mount Vernon/Plankinton and Wolsey-Wessington stay in the top five and in the same positions as last week.

Only one change in the top five this week for 9A and that comes with Colman-Egan who has entered the top five. They jumped to 4th following a 36-15 win over Castlewood/Estelline. Sully Buttes, Warner, and Potter County continue to dominate through their schedule with blowout wins.

Langford Area made a jump up one spot to 3rd with a 45-0 win over Ipswitch/Edmunds Central. Corsica-Stickney and Harding County were both successful with shutout wins last week as well. Hamlin lost to 9AA Webster Area, while Colome defeated Parker 44-0.
