Sioux Falls Woman Injured during Dog Fight
A woman trying to break up a dogfight on her own in Sioux Falls on Thursday had too much to handle. When multiple pit bulls get unruly, the advice is use extreme caution.
Sioux Falls Police reported in a press release that the call for assistance came Thursday morning. Sioux Falls Animal Control and the Sioux Falls Police Department responded in the 200 block of North Primrose Place.
Once they arrived, a 54-year old woman was found with several bite wounds on both of her arms. The woman was helping to care for her son’s dogs.
Officials say seven dogs in total started fighting amongst themselves. The woman tried to separate the dogs and was bitten many times.
The woman went to the hospital for multiple puncture wounds to her arms, some of the injuries required stitches. The dogs were taken to the emergency veterinarian for the injuries they sustained during the fight.
