Sioux Falls Storm Ready to Face Colorado Crush Saturday
The Sioux Falls Storm (12-1) will face the Colorado Crush (2-11) on Saturday (June 4) in a week fourteen contest.
This game will serve as a fundraiser for Shriners Hospitals for Children. There will be a silent auction of national sports team memorabilia and area business gifts made available plus other scheduled activities at the game to help bolster the fundraising efforts.
The Storm defeated the Barnstormers, 50-49 in overtime in Des Moines last weekend. In that game, Lorenzo Brown finished the game with 149 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, as well as 35 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown. Running back, Brandon Johnson-Farrell finished with 81 rushing yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver, Mike Tatum had 45 rushing yards and one touchdown, 78 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver, Korey Williams had 24 rushing yards, two touchdowns and one kickoff return. Wide receiver, Caleb Holley caught five passes for 78 yards and scored one touchdown. The Storm Thunder Defense tallied 58 tackles, one pass break-up and two blocks.
For the Crush, the team is looking to redeem themselves after a 44-55 loss against the Spokane Empire. In that game, quarterback Damien Fleming finished with 175 yards, five touchdowns, two interceptions, 48 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown. Wide receiver, Kyle Kaiser had 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back, Josh Ford caught four passes for 39 yards and scored three touchdowns. The Crush defense finished with 42 tackles and two pass break-ups.
