A Sioux Falls man is facing charges after a weekend incident that police say began with disorderly phone calls.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says a woman called police late Saturday night to report she was being harassed by a former boyfriend.

The woman said the man had said he was coming over to get some cash from her so he could buy drugs, and she refused, but at one point the man said he would come to her house with gasoline and some matches.

Clemens says that's when the woman called police:

Clemens says a short time later, the woman and an officer both saw the suspect driving nearby, and when the officer stopped the vehicle the suspect was found to have gasoline and matches with him. He says 23-year-old Jeremy James Larsen was arrested for attempted arson, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a concealed weapon, stalking and making threatening phoone calls.
