Someone in Minnesota, Iowa, or South Dakota just adopted one of the sweetest four-legged friends around.

Pearl is a 5-year-old German Sheppard/Greyhound mix who was waiting for her "furever" home at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society for over 100 days.

Pearl has been under the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society's care for almost 120 days. That's way too long for anyone to wait for a second chance. Thankfully, her previous page on the Humane Society's website confirms she was adopted.

Pearl did not have it easy. Staff at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society couldn't figure out why she kept getting overlooked. Peal's a "gentle nature" and has a "calm demeanor."

Here's the original Facebook post about Pearl:

Pearl might be a quiet girl. But anyone who knows her will love her.

Pearl isn’t loud or flashy. She won’t bark for your attention. But she will flop over for belly rubs, melt into your side for affection, and light up the second she sees another dog. She absolutely loves dogs and shines in playgroups, chasing and flirting with her friends.

Pearl does get a little excited on walks and loves to explore everything...she literally takes the time to smell the roses! She has a big heart and wants to share it with you. Here's a comment from Facebook that gives you a clear picture of who Pearl is.

If you’re looking for a dog who truly does it all—from snuggling up for movie nights to calmly keeping you company at dog-friendly restaurants—she’s the one. She’s full of charm, endlessly affectionate, and delightfully goofy in all the best ways. I know deep down that if she has stolen my heart, she can steal yours too.

More dogs are still waiting for their second chances. Check out all the adoptable Sioux Falls dogs at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society by clicking here.

Sweet Pearl...we're so glad you found a loving new home!

South Dakota's Weird Exotic Animal Laws Are Amazing

Have an interesting pet or looking to get one? Check this out from South Dakota Exotic Animal Laws before you go trying to adopt one.

You will need a zoo permit to harbor a raccoon dog. That's a real species. It's a small wild dog with a black facial mask and long fur, native to the forests of Asia.
