More fake money surfaces in Sioux Falls, but a sharp-eyed clerk prevented the bogus transaction.

Sioux Falls Police Lt. Jon Lohr says the incident happened Monday night at the Kum & Go at 501 North Minnesota.

“A woman attempted to pass a fake $100 bill. The clerk recognized it as such. The suspect then produced a real $20 bill for the items that she needed, but before leaving she grabbed the fake $100 bill from the clerk’s hand.”

The woman drove away in a red SUV. Police say she is white and in her twenties with long curly brown hair. Additional information included the suspect’s clothing of a black shirt and red pants.

Police hope to further the investigation through the store’s surveillance video.
