Monday night at the Blue Rock Bar and Grill was like no other and the festivities were all for a good cause.

The "Battle of the Bartenders" is a fundraiser for Lifescape.   The competition invites three guest bartenders to create their signature drink with the goal of collecting the most money from tips.  All the tips raised along with 10% of food and drink sales went to the non-profit organization.

Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken, Lifescape CEO Steve Watkins, and one of my fellow DJs Ben Davis from MIX 97-3 went head to head to earn the title of "Best Bartender."  Just from the tips alone, these bartenders raised close to $2,000 dollars in a matter of hours.  In the end, Steve Watkins came out victorious and collected $945 in tips.

The night was full of fun and laughter, especially with the 80's Trivia competition throughout the evening! But more importantly, the main goal for the majority of people was helping Lifescape.

The event as a whole raised over $3,000!  The "Best Bartender" title is pretty neat. But seeing the members of Lifescape smiling from ear to ear is even better.
