Host Reba McEntire tapped pop and country singer -- and her daughter-in-law! -- Kelly Clarkson to join her for a performance of "Does He Love You," McEntire's 1993 hit, during the 2018 ACM Awards ceremony on Sunday evening (April 15). The duet was one of three "ACM Flashbacks" pairings scheduled for the night.

Clarkson introduced the song by reminiscing about the first time she and McEntire performed it together 16 years ago. "I totally sucked," she laughed. "She was so nice though."

No one watching this performance would dare claim Clarkson sucked this time around. The two made a powerful vocal team, delivering a perfect rendition of "Does He Love You" and making mothers-in-law across the country jealous.

And that incredible dress Reba was in? If it looked familiar, there's a reason: it's one of the most infamous dresses in country music history. She wore the same red velvet dress with a dramatic plunging neckline in 1993, and somehow looked just as good wearing it in 2018.

"Does He Love You" was initially released in August of 1993. It shot to No. 1 on the charts, earning McEntire and her original duet partner, Linda Davis, a Grammys trophy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration and a CMA for Vocal Event of the Year.

The "ACM Flashbacks" performances teamed up one iconic country singer and one modern hitmaker to honor of some of country music's greatest songs. Other performances set for the 2018 ACM Awards were Blake Shelton and Toby Keith on Keith's 1993 classic "Should've Been a Cowboy," as well as Alan Jackson and Jon Pardi offering up their interpretation of Jackson's hit "Chattahoochee." All three songs are celebrating their 25th anniversaries in 2018.
