SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The Sioux Falls Police Department is investigating after a bullet was found in a low-income housing unit.

Officers were called Monday to a room at Project Safe Home in central Sioux Falls after a man found a bullet inside his room and a hole in an exterior wall.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens tells the Argus Leader that police believe someone fired a shot at the building between Dec. 1 and Dec. 14.

He says it's unclear whether the shooter meant to harm someone inside the building or if it was accidental discharge.
