Ope, Sorry! Minnesota City Named One of The Rudest in The Nation
People who visit the Midwest say the people in the heartland are known to be "Midwest Nice." However, surveys show this Minnesota city is one of the rudest cities in the United States. So much for "Minnesota Nice!"
There are rude people everywhere you go, including the Midwestern states. Minnesota's largest city is a place where people can be nice...or just downright disrespectful. It's one of the 50 rudest cities in the country.
According to Business Insider and Survey Monkey, a recent list ranks the top 50 rudest cities across America. How did they get their final results? The Business Insider polled 2,000 American adults by asking them to choose the five rudest cities from a list of the 50 largest metro areas in the country. Based on their age and gender, Survey Monkey asked participants their opinion of where the rudest cities in the country were.
To no one's surprise, the rudest residents are from New York City. Just over a third of respondents said New York City was the rudest, followed by the city of Los Angeles. So where is the rudest city in Minnesota? Minneapolis-St. Paul. Otherwise known as "The Twin Cities."
Almost 2% of people surveyed by Business Insider thought Minneapolis-St. Paul is one of the rudest cities in the country.
So why are people in Minneapolis-St. Paul so rude? Apparently, they have bad driving habits. An article from Insurify explains the Twin Cities have far too many traffic violations. But there is good news: Residents in the Twin Cities are nice when they aren't behind the wheel.
