When I was a kid, we watched cartoons. No, not "animation", we didn't know what that word was. No sir, we watched cartoons. Remember who they were?

Of course, you had the big guy, the King Of Them All...Mickey Mouse, along with Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and the rest. I know, I know, there's a Disney Channel now (and Disney, Jr. I guess!), but when I'm running up and down the cable dial, I never see them on the Disney Channel! I see young nice looking kids doing...well, I'm not sure what they're doing, I don't stay long enough to find out.

We had Bugs, Daffy, Elmer Fudd, the Tazmanian Devil, the Roadrunner (beep-beep!) and Wiley E. Coyote. There was Top Cat, so cool living in that back alley, Quick Draw McGraw with Baba Louey....so many more.

The Jetsons lived in the future and The Flintstones lived in the past, yet somehow they seemed to have the same basic funny problems! Elroy and Judy were the kids in one, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm in the other.

Now I pop into the Cartoon Network and see...uh...I don't know, outer space stuff?

Oh I know, the little folks love Spongebob. Me? Not so much, but I sure wish I had created him!

I guess every generation has their cartoons to love. Oh yea, I mean animated favorites.

But I have to tell you, I do miss Popeye. That Olive Oyl was a looker! And Wimpy said he'd pay me Tuesday for a hamburger today!
