It'll be years before we'll know whether Jordan Spieth is able to have a Tiger Woods' type career on the PGA Tour, but the 23-year old has already matched Tiger in one regard.

With his four-shot win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last weekend, Spieth becomes just the third player in tour history to win nine times in his first 100 events. The other two? Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

It was an impressive showing for Spieth, who captured his first win of the season and his third Top Three finish in his last four starts. His putter was red hot all weekend, especially on Saturday (February 11), when he carded a staggering 13 one-putts.

In this edition of 'Off The Tee' I talk with Joel Harrington from 4 Deep Golf blog about Pebble Beach and a lot more:

  • Less than two months to Masters, the best players in the world are getting ready. Expect a loaded field at Riviera this week for Genesis Open. Joel shares his picks to win.
  • This week was going to be a stroll down memory lane for Tiger Woods. He played his first PGA Tour event - as a 16-year old - 25 years ago at Riviera, but will miss this year's event with yet another injury.
  • John Daly doing what John Daly does best - making headlines for all the wrong reasons. This time tossing his putter into a lake during an PGA Tour Champions event in Florda. For the record, it's the 38th time Daly has withdrawn from a tournament.
  • The European Tour is trying to woo a new, younger audience with a new six-hole, team match play event.

Here's my conversation with Joel:
