Last Call: Sioux Falls Mayor Takes Singer Darius Rucker Golfing

It won't be long now until current Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken will officially leave office. But before he turns in his keys to the city, Mayor Paul had a few more items on his to-do list.

Prior to taking the stage at the Lallycooler Music Festival, Mayor Paul TenHaken took country star Darius Rucker and his bandmates to the Sioux Falls links.

Looks like Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken took in some "Beers and Sunshine" with Darius Rucker on a very warm Friday. Well, at least the sunshine! Kidding about the beers!

Despite the hot temperatures last Friday, Mayor Paul and Darius Rucker played a round of golf at one of the newest Sioux Falls courses, Mapleton Golf Club. Fun fact: Darius Rucker is an avid golfer and plays whenever he gets a chance, especially when he's on the road.

Turns out Hootie can stripe it. Great (and hot) day on the links with Darius Rucker.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Darius Rucker at Lallycooler Music Festival, and he had nothing but nice things to say about Sioux Falls. He loves the city and he mentioned that Mayor Paul is one of the coolest mayors he's ever met!Plus, Mayor Paul's golf game isn't bad. But Mayor Paul did mention Darius shot "15 better" than him...oh boy!
