Sources say that Mid Central Educational Cooperative's interim director Bob Krietlow is planning a trip to Rapid City Wednesday May 18, 2016 where he plans to open the organization's locker to see what's inside.  MCEC has been paying $105 dollars monthly to Outback Storage in Rapid City since 2012.

The South Dakota Attorney General's office is confirming that they are aware of the locker.  Sara Rabern with the Attorney General's Office comments on the relationship with MCEC:

MCEC has fully cooperated with our inquiries and access to this storage unit.  DCI will be present when the storage unit is opened.  Our office was aware of the storage locker and we do plan to be a part of this.

According to the Mitchell Daily Republic, Krietlow is going to meet the new owner of the shed.

We’re looking at … seeing what’s actually in that shed because nobody really seems to know.

Calls to Outback lockers were not answered.

The investigation into Gear Up funds and Mid Central Educational Cooperative started with the South Dakota Department of Education's decision to not renew a contract and the subsequent shooting of the entire family of MCEC director Scott Westerhuis and the burning of their home near Platte, SD.
