Minnesota Man Gets 9th DUI on a Riding Lawnmower
It has to go something like this:
Officer: "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
Dude on Lawnmower: "I have a pretty good idea. By the way, do you know if this thing has a cup holder?"
Aside from obviously not winning life's lottery, we're thankful that this Madison Lake, Minnesota man is off the roads - at least for now. Hub City Radio reports that Thomas Grothe, who has 8 previous DUI convictions, told the arresting officer that he hasn't had a drivers licence since 1978. Which was precisely why he was driving a lawnmower to his destination.
Unfortunately, he was tanked. He was also driving it on the wrong side of the road.
After failing a series of sobriety tests Grothe was arrested on his 9th DUI.
