Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriots Dominate State Tennis Tournament for Fourth Consecutive Year
The Lincoln Patriots didn't just win another state tennis championship, they just about swept the entire tournament.
Led by Kaleb Dobbs, a University of Minnesota recruit, the Patriots won all but one singles flights at the state tournament. Dobbs ran through flight one without dropping a single set. His brother Sam had the same success in flight two. Aiden DeBoer finished first in flight three, while Arjun Choudhry took first in flight four. Finally, Graham Leonard defeated Jackson Ellis (RCS) in three sets to secure flight five.
It was a great showing as well for Rahul Giri of Lincoln in flight six. Giri finished in second place following a three set loss in the championship round to Dawson Segrist of Rapid City Stevens.
On the doubles side, Lincoln dominated all three flights in straight sets. The Dobbs brothers ran through flight one, DeBoer/Choudhry took flight two, and Leonard/Choudhry won flight three.
Lincoln finished the tournament with a team score of 740. Rapid City Stevens finished second with a score of 500 points.
This is the 4th consecutive tennis championship for the Sioux Falls Lincoln boys. Full bracket and results can be found through SDPB.
