Kris Kristofferson is my all time favorite songwriter.

Shel Silverstein is my second all time favorite songwriter.

Kris, of course, wrote the great classic's (actually, now standards) 'Help Me Make It Through The Night', 'For The Good Times', 'Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down', and 'Why Me, Lord'.  But to really appreciate this legend, listen to his albums.  All of them!

Shel was probably the most clever songwriter I've heard.  Probably most closely associated with two acts, Dr. Hook and Country Music Hall of Famer Bobby Bare, you'd really need to 'Google' Shel Silverstein to get a sense of how great he was.

One of She's great song's was 'The Winner', a classic by Bobby Bare (from his album 'Lullabys, Legends and Lies, written totally by Shel).

So...let's criss/cross these two writing legends and have Kris sing Shel's 'The Winner'.
