Kevin Harvick is on a terror in NASCAR. He won his third straight Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race Sunday (March 11) at ISM Raceway in Phoenix.

The previous two races were completely dominating victories, but not this one. Harvick took over the lead from Kyle Busch in turn four on lap number 179.

He only led 38 laps, but most importantly. he got the win. Harvick came into the race, as he put it, mad. He was upset from a mid-week penalty placed against his team by NASCAR due to issues with his car.

It cost him the services of his crew chief on Sunday. He came in with the attitude of stomping the competition. It wasn't a stomping, but it was a win.

The last time a driver won three in a row, it was Busch in the 2015 season. Busch could have and should have won this time.

The story goes very simply like this. He was .7 seconds behind Harvick at the finish. A pit stop error with a jack going down on Busch's car on his final stop, cost him three seconds.

That would cost Busch the victory. He did get past Chase Elliott for second place, but was too far behind to catch Harvick.

Denny Hamlin ran fourth, followed by Martin Truex Jr. See where your driver finished.
