SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The jury in the case of a Sioux Falls teenager accused of killing another teen following a car chase has been begun deliberating.

Conner Hanson is charged with murder in the January 2015 killing of 18-year-old Anthony Gabriel. Hanson was 17 at the time, but is being tried as an adult.

KSFY-TV reports that before the jury began deliberating at around 11:30 a.m., both sides addressed the jury one last time.

Prosecuting attorney Randy Sample told the jurors that Hanson's decision to shoot and kill Anthony Gabriel was premeditated and was not justifiable.

Defense attorney Jeff Larson has argued Hanson fired at Gabriel in self-defense. Larson asked jurors whether they believed Hanson or his co-defendant Robert Montes wouldn't have been shot by Gabriel shot if Hanson had waited any longer.
