ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - The man accused of stealing an expensive bracelet from an Aberdeen jewelry store has been sentenced to serve 4  1/2 years in prison.

The American News reports that 29-year-old Maykel Correoso also was fined $104 and ordered to make restitution.

Correoso was accused of walking into a Riddle's Jewelry store in an Aberdeen mall last Nov. 1, asking an employee to show him a $30,500 bracelet, then snatching it and fleeing. He was arrested later in his home state of Florida for allegedly trying to steal clothing from stores. The bracelet was not recovered.
