The Pretenders got their start in England in 1978 and snagged three Top Ten albums (Pretenders, Pretenders II, and Learning to Crawl) and a number-one single ("Brass in Pocket') from 1979 to 1984.

The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.

Lead singer Chrissie Hynde is the only original member still with the band. Guitarists James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon both passed away in the early 1980s. Original drummer Martin Chambers is not playing with the band on the upcoming tour.

Tickets for the Minneapolis show are $59.50 (plus taxes and fees) and go on sale Friday (July 21). There is a 2-ticket limit.
