In the 'Netflix and Chill' world we seem to live in these days, it's nice to know that a lot of us still enjoy the pleasure of curling up on the couch with a good book.

You remember those don't you?

Recently, a study conducted by the research team at Dan Ariely revealed the top US states for bookworms, after looking at data on the number of public libraries, library visits, bookstores, books and serial volumes, literacy rates, and reading events.

Readers in the Tri-State (South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota) area in two locales fared well in the study.

Iowa is fourth overall in the nation thanks to the second-most public libraries per 10,000 people and the fourth-most library visits in America.

South Dakota landed just outside the Top Ten at number 14, thanks to Top Ten rankings in the number of Public Libraries per 10,000 people, the number of books and serial volumes per capita, and the state's overall literacy rate.
