Yankton Police Deal With Case of ‘Fowl Play’ Thursday
Police officers in Yankton, South Dakota, had to deal with a case of "fowl play" on Thursday, July 24, that ruffled a few feathers after several chickens staged a daring daylight escape and began roaming the streets of the River City.
It quickly turned into a case of "Why did the chicken cross the road?"
Dakota News Now reports that the fleeing flock broke out of their owner's yard and took off on a most "egg-cellent" adventure.

Word has it that the group of chickens flew the coop and started wandering through neighborhood yards. From there, they took their talents and talons to the streets of Yankton for what can only be described as a "clucking" good time!

According to the Yankton Police Department's social media page, Yankton PD, together with the "coop-eration" of the runaway birds' owner, got a handle on this fowl situation before things got too scrambled. They were eventually able to corral the rogue roosters and hens and return them to their pens a short time later.
Looks like we can chalk this one up to another case that was "cracked" by the Yankton PD.
In the end, it was just another "egg-straordinary" day in Yankton on Thursday!
