Economic data reveals that middle-income households in Sioux Falls significantly outperform state averages.

The middle 20% of Sioux Falls households earn between $62,200 and $89,212 annually, compared to just $52,379 to $83,764 for the same segment across South Dakota as a whole.

Nationally the middle-class stability has been eroded due to manufacturing decline, wage stagnation, and rising costs of living that have intensified income inequality across America.
