If you’re already tired of winter and dreaming about lawn chairs, cold drinks, and live music under the South Dakota sky, good news: summer 2026 is already loading up the playlist in the Sioux Empire, and it’s only January.

Two of Sioux Falls’ biggest music festivals are officially locked in for next summer, and they’re bringing plenty of star power with them. Both Rock the Country and Lallycooler will return to South Dakota’s largest city, giving locals and visitors alike even more reason to circle dates on the calendar.

First up is "Rock the Country," which will take over the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds on June 27 and 28.

The festival announcement dropped Monday, January 12, and it comes with some extra patriotic flair. The 2026 event will help celebrate America’s 250th birthday, which feels like a pretty good excuse to crank the volume all the way up to 11!

According to Dakota News Now, the Sioux Falls lineup is stacked with familiar names and crowd favorites, including Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Janson, The Marshall Tucker Band, Uncle Kracker, Treaty Oak Revival, Ashley Cooke, Colt Ford, Austin Snell, and more. In other words, if you like your summer music loud, lively, and a little twangy, this one’s got you covered.

Nathan Baugh, CEO and Partner of Peachtree Entertainment, summed it up best, telling Dakota News Now that bringing Rock the Country back to Sioux Falls during such a milestone year feels especially meaningful. Organizers say they’re focusing on fan comfort, connection, and delivering an unforgettable weekend.

Tickets for Rock the Country go on sale Friday, January 16, at 2:00 PM.
