
Severe Thunderstorm Risk For Minnesota, Iowa, And South Dakota
Severe Weather Alert: Thunderstorm Threat Tonight for Tri-State Region of Minnesota, Iowa, And South Dakota.
According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, Eastern South Dakota, western Minnesota, and northwestern Iowa are under a Level 2 (out of 5) severe thunderstorm risk tonight.
Weather models indicate storms will begin forming in central South Dakota late this afternoon before organizing into fast-moving line segments traveling eastward and northeastward through early Thursday morning.

- Possible brief tornado activity
- Potential for localized urban flooding
Meteorologist Lexie Murley from Dakota News Now warns: "Pay close attention to the weather this Level 2 risk could bring in severe thunderstorms as you sleep tonight producing lightning, large hail, and strong damaging winds."

Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
