South Dakota Labor Day Weekend Weather Could Be A Wash Out

The 2025 Labor Day weekend travel is forecasted to be busy across Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, and the rest of the nation, with record-breaking numbers of travelers expected on both the roads and in the skies.

According to data from AAA, the heaviest congestion on major highways is expected during these times:

Thursday, August 28: Afternoon and early evening, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, August 29: Afternoon, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., as commuters and holiday travelers mix.
Saturday, August 30: Late morning and afternoon, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, August 31: Midday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., as people start returning from weekend trips.
