Minnesota Band’s Music Featured On Hit Show Now On Netflix
One of my favorite shows has finally made its way to Netflix, and I'm delighted to see so many of my friends get into it.
I have to give credit to B105's David Drew for turning me onto this great show. It's called Resident Alien, and it stars Alan Tudyk. The show is silly, yet heartwarming. It really has something for everyone.
The show is about an alien who crashes his ship into Earth. He finds a small town in Colorado and disguises himself as a doctor. The alien must learn what it's like to be human, and it's just hilarious. I look forward to the opening scenes that show different diagrams on how to be human including things to do and not to do.
I've watched Seasons 1 and 2 which aired on Syfy. Now Netflix has added Resident Alien to its lineup and that's brought a lot of fans.
I saw on Facebook that a local band actually had their music featured on the show. I saw the episode and didn't even realize it.

On Season 2, Episode 5 'Family Day,' music from Duluth, Minnesota bluegrass group Black River Revue was featured.
Black River Revue describes themselves as a freshwater bluegrass and Americana group from Duluth and Superior. They do a lot of shows regionally and across the country at music festivals. They're pretty good! Check them out!
When is their music featured in the show?
In season 2, episode 5, you can hear their music start at 27:05 in the episode. Harry and his estranged daughter Liza get into a balloon fight at a local fair. The music can be heard in the background.
Way to go Black River Revue. I can't wait to see you guys perform soon.
